Minister appreciates progress of pma

Provincial Transport Minister Ibrahim Hasan Murad has received the fifteen-day average report from the Punjab Mass Transit Authority, in which Punjab Mass Transit Authority (PMA) mentioned that on February 12 , 945,899 passengers had broken all previous records by availing travel facilities. Orange Line Train, Lahore Metro Bus, Lahore Feeder Routes System, Multan Metro Bus, Multan Feeder Routes and Pakistan Metro Bus System Rawalpindi are included in the record. The data of passengers traveling from January 28 to February 11 has also been shared in the 15-day average report to the provincial minister. In the report, the provincial minister was told that 15,000 students are getting free travel facility on daily basis in the Orange Line train, while around 13,000 students are benefiting from the Lahore Metro Bus System. Provincial Transport Minister Ibrahim HasanMurad while appreciating the performance of Punjab Mass Transit Authority said that the increase in the confidence of passengers on the Mass Transit Authority is commendable while the Transport Department is ensuring the provision of more efficient and excellent facilities. Ibrahim HasanMurad said that the best travel facilities for students, women and senior citizens is the first priority, but it is hoped that the next government will also ensure the provision of such facilities to the people.

Punjab Police demanded a grant of Rs200 million for security of Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches.

According to report the police have asked for this grant in the form of food, drink and petrol for security.

Police have asked for this grant for matches in Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi. However, the Home Department forwarded this summary to the Finance Department.The Finance Department will issue such demanded grant after the approval of the Cabinet Committee on Finance.
