Mayor Barrister MurtazaWahab, conducted a detailed visit to Baldia Town, including Hub River Road and surrounding areas, following the recent continuous rains in the city. He was accompanied by Member Provincial Assembly LiaqatAskani, Baldia Town Chairman Karim Askani, KMC Municipal Commissioner Afzal Zaidi, and local leaders. Mayor Wahab expressed satisfaction with the overall situation in the area, noting that despite the heavy rainfall, conditions in Baldia Town and its adjacent areas remain stable. “Traffic is flowing smoothly on Hub River Road, and there are no issues reported,” he stated.
He further commended the efforts of the KMC staff and local representatives, who have been actively working throughout the rainy period. “Those indulging in negative propaganda will find nothing. We believe in taking action,” Mayor Wahab emphasized. He assured that the drainage of rainwater across the city would continue until the end of the rainy season. Comparing the current scenario to the past, he highlighted that despite continuous rains, water did not accumulate on the roads as it used to.
“Water is being drained from the storm drains during the rains, preventing water from standing on the roads,” he added Helso confirmed that all underpasses in the city are clear, which he personally inspected. “Overcoming challenges requires collective effort and helping the people,” he stated, acknowledging the round-the-clock efforts of municipal institutions, officers, and staff visible on the streets during this period
