STAFF REPORTER PESHAWAR Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan emphasized the need for completion of Mohmand Dam Project as soon as possible stating that this long needed project will not only resolve the problem of water shortage in District Mohmand but will also increase the production of electricity and boost up local economy by promoting agriculture production and creating employment opportunities. He was talking to the Chairman WAPDA Lt General (Rtd) Muzammil Hussain, who called on him at Chief Minister House Peshawar. The Chief Minister on this occasion also underlined the need to ensure recruitment of local people against the non technical vacancies for Mohmand Dam Project. He assured that the Provincial Government will extend its all out support for early completion of other ongoing projects of WAPDA in the province and said that his government is very much serious to address the long standing issues of people across the province and is moving ahead under actionable plans to achieve the desired goals in this regard. While briefing about the projects being initiated by WAPDA in the province, the Chief Minister was told that work is underway on local area development of Dasu Dam Kohistan with the financial assistance of World Bank
