Latest Petrol Levy In Pakistan For November And December 2025

KARACHI – Pakistanis are now facing highest petrol levy in history, which is putting burden on everyday consumers as prices continue to climb.

Petroleum Division revealed jaw-dropping figures in Senate as latest petrol levy hike takes effect. From November 16, the petrol levy was increased by Rs1.60 per liter, pushing the total levy from Rs78.02 to 79.62 per liter.

On top of that, a temporary extra margin of 3 paisa per liter was added for the next 15 days. Despite this, distributor and dealer margins remain steady at 7.87 and 8.64 rupees per liter, respectively, while freight charges on petrol are 8.18 rupees per liter.

Officials reported that 66.613 billion rupees have already been collected from consumers since the levy was first imposed in April, and a staggering 200 billion rupees are expected to be raised for road construction projects. However, the Petroleum Division does not control how these funds are spent, leaving questions about transparency and accountability.

Petrol Price in Pakistan

In last petrol price review, Pakistani government jacked up diesel price by Rs6 per litre, pushing it to Rs284.44, while petrol remains at Rs265.45. From November 16, the increase follows OGRA and ministry recommendations.
