Sri Lanka Set 185 Run Target For Pakistan In T20i Tri Series Match

Sri Lanka beat Pakistan by six runs in a last-ball thriller at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Thursday to reach the T20I Tri-series final.

Chasing a challenging 185-run target for victory, Pakistan reached 178/7 as the most successful bowler and Player of the Match Dushmantha Chameera conceded just three runs in the 20th over.

Skipper Salman Ali Agha was the highest scorer for the hosts with an unbeaten 63 off 44 balls, hitting four fours and three sixes. Usman Khan made 33 off 23 balls, laced two fours and two maximums. Mohammad Nawaz and Saim Ayub contributed 27 runs each.

Dushmantha Chameera bagged four wickets and Eshan Malinga two, while Wanindu Hasaranga took one wicket.

After being put into bat by Pakistan skipper Salman Ali Agha, Sri Lanka managed to reach 184/5 in their quota of 20 overs despite losing the last match hero Pathum Nissanka (8) early.

Kamil Mishara was the top scorer for the visitors with 76 off 48 balls, hitting six fours and three maximums. Kusal Mendis contributed a valuable 40 off 20 balls, laced with six fours and one maximum to provide a much-needed momentum.

Janith Liyanage made an unbeaten 24 off 24 balls, while skipper Dasun Shanaka ensured a strong finish with 17 off 10 with the help of two fours and one maximum. Abrar Ahmed bagged two wickets and Salman Mirza and Saim Ayub one each, while Dasun Shanaka was run out on the last ball of the innings.
