ISLAMABAD – Petrol prices across Pakistan once again climb, especially to hit consumers already struggling with inflation.
Ministry of Finance shared a notification announcing a revision in petroleum prices. The decision brings a Rs 2.43 per liter increase in petrol and a Rs 3.02 rise in high-speed diesel, pushing their prices to Rs 265.45 and Rs 278.44 per liter, respectively.

For many, the announcement came as yet another shock in a series of regular fuel price adjustments that have become all too familiar. The new rates will officially take effect from midnight tonight, altering transportation costs and likely impacting the prices of essential goods in the days ahead.
Officials say the revision follows the government’s fortnightly review mechanism, which adjusts local fuel rates according to international oil market trends and currency exchange fluctuations.
As global oil prices continue to hover at higher levels, and the rupee remains under pressure, analysts predict that consumers may have to brace for further adjustments in the near future.
