Heavy rain in Lahore caused severe flooding, clogging roads and prompting authorities to urge passengers to avoid daily commute.

The metropolis saw record rainfall of 350mm, the most in last forty years. Despite the rain easing by noon, disruptions continued, with several airlines suspending flight operation. Access roads to key areas were flooded, and metro services remain disrpted.
