Lahore, Punjab weather update; wet spell continues

LAHORE – More rain-wind/thunderstorms and isolated hailstorms are expected in Lahore and parts of Punjab on Monday evening/night.

As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a strong westerly wave prevails over most parts of Pakistan.

Under these conditions, more rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in Murree, Galyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore and Kasur on Monday evening/night. Isolated heavy falls and hailstorms are also expected during the period.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, dry weather is expected in most districts of the province. However, partly cloudy weather is expected in Murree, Galyat and surroundings areas.

Lahore’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 26-28 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 28-30 C on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, rain-wind/thunderstorms occurred in Lahore and parts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.

Bahawalpur remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature reached 34 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 42 per cent.

In Lahore, maximum temperature was recorded at 33 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 63 per cent.
