LAHORE – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted partly cloudy and cold weather for Lahore and parts of Punjab on Tuesday evening/night, Wednesday and Thursday.
As per the synoptic situation, a westerly wave is affecting the upper parts of Pakistan. It may persist during the next 24 hours.
Under these conditions, cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of Punjab and freezing in the upper districts on Tuesday evening/night, Wednesday and Thursday. However, partly cloudy weather and rain-wind thunderstorms are likely in Jhelum, Gujrat, Sialkot and Narowal on Tuesday evening/night. More rain-wind/thunderstorm/snowfall is expected in Murree, Galyat and surroundings.
On Wednesday and Thursday, partly cloudy weather with light rain-wind/thunderstorm/snowfall is expected in Murree, Galyat and surroundings.
Lahore’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 11-13 C on Wednesday and 10-12 C on Thursday.
Meanwhile, scattered rains occurred in parts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.
