Council meeting at the University of Karachi, chaired by VC Prof. Dr. Khalid Mehmood Iraqi, approved significant academic reforms and new programs. Among the major decisions, the council granted approval for conducting exams under the semester system for degree programs offered at colleges affiliated with Karachi University. These include the Associate Degree in Arts , Associate Degree in Commerce (ADC), and Associate Degree in Science. Under this new system, each subject will have an examination worth 100 marks, with the exams being managed by the University of Karachi’s Examination Department, which will hold full control over the marking process. Additionally, the meeting approved the launch of a four-year Bachelor of Science (BS) program in Artificial Intelligence under the Department of Computer Science
