KARACHI – More rains with isolated heavy falls are likely in Karachi, Hyderabad and parts of Sindh on Monday night and Tuesday with occasional gaps.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), strong monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal penetrate central and southern parts of Pakistan which will likely affect upper parts from tonight.
Under these conditions, rains are likely in Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Qamber Shahdadkot, Dadu, Ghotki, Tharparkar, Mirpur Khas, Sanghar, Umarkot, Naushehro Feroze, Jamshoro, Thatta, Badin, Sajawal, Karachi and Hyderabad on Monday night. Heavy falls may also occur in Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Qambar Shahdadkot and Dadu.
On Tuesday, more intermittent rains are likely in Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Khairpur, Kashmore, Qamber Shahdadkot, Dadu, Ghotki, Shaheed Benazirabad, Tharparkar, Sanghar, Naushero Feroze, Jamshoro, Karachi and Hyderabad. Heavy falls may also occur in Sukkur, Shikarpur, Ghotki, Larkana, Jacobabad, Qambar Shahdadkot and Jamshoro.
Heavy rains may generate flash flooding in local nullahs/streams of Jacobabad, Qamber Shahdad Kot, Larkana, Dadu and Jamshoro. Widespread rains may cause urban flooding in low lying areas of Sukkur, Kashmore, Ghotki, Shikarpur and Khairpur.
Karachi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 32-34°C on Tuesday and 31-33°C on Wednesday.
Hyderabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 32-34°C on Tuesday and 31-33°C on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, rain-wind/thundershowers occurred in Karachi and parts of Sindh during the last 24 hours.

Thatta and Mithi remained the hottest places in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 35°C.
In Karachi, maximum temperature was recorded at 33°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 92 per cent.
In Hyderabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 34°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 88 per cent.
Widespread monsoon rains predicted in Pakistan till August 06
