KARACHI – Intermittent rains are likely in Karachi, Hyderabad and parts of Sindh on Wednesday night and Thursday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), low pressure areas approach southeast Sindh. A shallow westerly wave prevails over upper parts of the country.
Under these weather conditions, rains are likely in Mirpurkhas, Umer Kot, Mithi, Thatta, Badin, Tharparkar, Sanghar and Khairpur on Wednesday night. Light rain/drizzle is also expected in Karachi and Hyderabad during the period.
On Thursday, mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most districts of the province. However, rains may occur at isolated places in Mirpurkhas, Umer Kot, Mithi and Tharparkar.
Karachi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 33-35°C on Thursday and 32-34°C on Friday.
Hyderabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 34-36°C on Thursday and 33-35°C on Friday.
Meanwhile, rains occurred at isolated places in southeastern Sindh during the last 24 hours.

In Karachi, maximum temperature was recorded at 35°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 64 per cent.
In Hyderabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 36°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 73 per cent.
