KARACHI – Prominent businessman Zulfiqar Ahmed, who owns Paracha Textiles, Meezan Oil, and Cola Next, was reportedly missing for two days in port city of Karachi.

His family has filed a petition with the Sindh High Court (SHC) as police are reluctant to register the case against his alleged abduction.

The family alleged that Zulfiqar Ahmed was travelling with another person named Qaiser when their vehicle was intercepted by masked men, who were riding a double-cabin vehicle, on Mauripur Road in Keamari.

The gunmen forced Ahmed and his associate into the vehicle and went away. After some distance, Qaiser was released while Ahmed’s still missing since then.

The family moved the high court seeking an order for registration of a First Information Report (FIR) at the Kalri Police Station after police showed reluctance in registration of the case.
