Jamaat e Islami deputy chief LiaqatBaloch, addressed a meeting of the Ulema at DarulUloomhere on Wednesday, headed by Mufti Rafiud Din Usmani and Mufti TaqiUsmani, through telephonic link and expressed his views about the issue of offering prayers, Juma and Taraveeh during the month of Ramazan, at the mosques under lockdown.
The JI deputy chief also contacted MaulanaFazlurRehman and SahibzadaDrAbulKhairZubair by telephone. He also called on chief of theMarkaziJamiat e Ulema Islam, Maulana Muhammad AjmalQadri, at his residence.
During discussions with these dignitaries, LiaqatBaloch said that the coronavirus was a big test from Almighty Allah for the human beings as also the Muslims. He said the protection against the virus lay in RajuIlallah” or reverting to Allah, repentance along with all necessary precautions.
Baloch said that reverting to Allah gives an inner strength to human beings and doubles his/her physical and moral strength besides power of resistance.
He urged the government to abandon its dilly dallying and allow regular prayers at the mosques. The faithful should not be deprived of the opportunity to make collective invocations during the sacred month of Ramazan, he added. He was confident that Allah Almighty would free mankind from the calamity.
