Speakers urge nation to express solidarity with Kashmir today, ask govt to adopt aggressive diplomacy against India
Zubair Qureshi

Pakistan should internationalize Kashmir issue and sever all channels of bilateral dialogue with India as this is the time for aggressive diplomacy and a united stance over Kashmir.
Speakers were of this consensus view while addressing a “Kashmir Hikmat-e-Amlee Seminar” or “Kashmir Strategy Seminar” organized by the Jammu Kashmir Solidarity Movement at a local hotel here Thursday.
It goes to the credit of the Chairperson of the Jammu Kashmir Solidarity Movement and daughter of former DG ISI, late Gen Hamid Gul, Ms Uzma Gul who had invited leaders from almost all political and religious parties, representatives of Kashmiris, human rights organizations, civil society, retired army officers and present-day rulers all under one roof to express solidarity with Kashmiri brothers and sisters.
President of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) Sardr Masood Khan while paying rich tributes to late Gen Hamid Gul said he was a true Pakistani and Mujahid of Afghanistan and Kashmir.
About the current situation in the Indian-Held Kashmir (IHK) Sardar Masood Khan said the occupying Indian forces had imposed curfew in the valley since August 5 in the wake of changing the autonomous status of the J&K by Indian parliament and a humanitarian crisis is developing in the occupied region.
The fascist Indian government has made public its priorities: to take possession of land, employment and women in Kashmir which is shameful. In short, Modi Sarkar wants to turn Kashmir its colony where fundamental rights will be denied to 10 million population of the Held Kashmir, said Sardar Masood Khan. He thanked the Pakistani government for highlighting the Kashmir issue in the Security Council of the United Nations. He also spoke high of the armed forces for defending LoC and holding back the Indian aggression.
Minister for Science & Technology Fawad Chaudhry said the so-called ‘largest democracy’ of the world is denying democratic rights to the opposition leaders and they are not allowed to enter the occupied valley.
Things are moving in direction of war with India and Prime Minister Imran Khan has also made this crystal clear to India as well as the International community, said Fawad. He called upon the citizens of Pakistan to participate in the 30-minute show of solidarity with the government over Kashmir.
Chairman of Ex-Service Men, Gen (R) Amjad Shoaib called upon the international community to impose sanctions on India for continuing to hold occupation of Kashmir.
We should prepare and project our own narrative to the world, said Gen Amjad adding closing options for dialogues or negotiations would be disastrous.
Wife of Hurriyat leader Yasim Malik, Mushaal Mullick said it was the time to carry forward legacy of Gen Hamid Gul. Hindu extremists in collaboration with the Indian army are committing worst atrocities in the held valley, she said adding while the entire political leadership is either detained in prison or kept in house-arrest. About Yasin Malik’s health she said he was facing inhuman conditions in the Tihar jail of India and his health was fast deteriorating.
Uzma Gul asked all the parties and individuals to set aside differences and get united for the cause of Kashmir. The purpose for holding this seminar is to raise the nation’s collective voice and tell the world Pakistan’s nation is united on Kashmir.
