Islamabad residents should prepare for temporary power cuts on August 11, 2026, as IESCO announced scheduled outages across several areas. The shutdowns, linked to maintenance, development work, and AMI meter installation, will affect different feeders for varying hours. Here’s the complete schedule so consumers can plan ahead.
Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) shared major power outage schedule for Tuesday, August 11, 2026, with electricity supply set to remain suspended for several hours across parts of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal and adjoining areas.
IESCO spokesperson said the temporary outages are being carried out due to annual system maintenance, development works and the installation of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) meters. Consumers in several areas could face outages lasting up to seven hours, depending on the feeder and scheduled maintenance activity.

IESCO has released details of the affected feeders and timings in advance, urging consumers to plan their routine accordingly. Several areas of the Islamabad Circle will face electricity suspension from 6am to 10am.
The affected areas include those connected to the Rehra, Kuri, CM Pak Zong, Navy-1, Soan Garden-I, Soan Garden-II and Alipur feeders.
Consumers in parts of the Attock Circle will face some of the longest scheduled outages. Power supply will remain suspended from 5am to 12 noon in areas connected to the Bahadur Mor, Punjab Small Industries, Kohistan Enclave, KV Kashif Gul, Model Town and Mix Industry feeders.
Meanwhile, consumers connected to the Fawara Chowk feeder will face an outage from 6am to 10am.
In the Chakwal Circle, electricity supply will remain suspended from 6am to 11am in areas connected to the Abdullah Pur, Jalal Pur, Sagharpur and CWO feeders. The Dhariala Jalap feeder will remain without electricity from 6am to 10am.
Power supply will also be affected in several areas under the GSO Circle as maintenance work is carried out at major grid stations.
Work on Power Transformer T-1 at 132kV GSS Rawat-II is scheduled from 8am to 5pm, potentially affecting electricity supply to connected areas. Similarly, electricity supply will be affected from 9am to 4pm in areas associated with 132kV AWCHMC Taxila and 132kV Sangjani-Burhan.
Another major outage window has been scheduled from 8am to 6pm for areas connected to 132kV Kahuta City-Pallandri, 132kV New Wah-Bahter Mor and adjoining areas.
IESCO clarified that the outages are temporary and linked to essential maintenance, development projects and AMI meter installation.
The power utility said that if the scheduled work is completed ahead of time, electricity supply may be restored before the announced deadline.
