LAHORE – iPhone 17 Pro Max users in Pakistan have received a major relief, as the PTA (Pakistan Telecommunication Authority) tax on their devices can now be paid in easy monthly installments instead of a lump-sum payment.
This new payment facility has been introduced by Bank Alfalah’s e-commerce platform, Alfa Mall, allowing customers to pay the PTA tax for their iPhone 17 Pro Max over a period of 3 to 36 months.
The monthly installment plans start from as low as PKR 10,825, making it easier for customers to afford the tax without the burden of paying it all at once.
PTA Tax Installment Plan
According to Alfa Mall, short-term plans of 3 or 6 months are available with no interest charges, while longer-term plans from 9 to 36 months will carry a nominal markup of 2.5%.
Here are the details of the available installment plans:
3 Months: 0% markup, monthly installment Rs75,966
6 Months: 0% markup, monthly installment Rs37,983
9 Months: 2.5% markup, monthly installment Rs29,767
12 Months: 2.5% markup, monthly installment Rs23,438
24 Months: 2.5% markup, monthly installment Rs13,964
36 Months: 2.5% markup, monthly installment Rs10,825
This initiative is expected to greatly benefit customers who wish to register imported iPhones with the PTA but are unable to pay the full tax upfront.
To avail of this offer, users need to visit the Alfa Mall website, enter their iPhone’s IMEI number, along with their name and CNIC details, and select the “Buy Now, Pay Later” option to choose their preferred installment plan.
