In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops set on fire the house and shops of All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader Chaudhry Shaheen Iqbal in Haft Rada area of Handwara in Kupwara district in the dark of night.

Hurriyat leaders in their statements in Srinagar strongly condemned the Indian army’s brutal act and expressed solidarity with Chaudhry Shaheen Iqbal. They said that India cannot force the Kashmiris into submission by using such inhuman tactics.

The leaders said that the Kashmiri people have not recognized India’s oppressive occupation since the first day and will never do so. They appealed to the international human rights organizations to put pressure on India to stop the violations of human rights in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.—KMS
