Indian forces’ personnel arrested two youth in Kupwara district of Indian illegally occu-pied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the youth were arrested during a cordon and search operation in Gushi area of the district.
The troops claimed that the youth were overground workers of the ongoing struggle for right to self-determination. They also seized their mobile phones.
Meanwhile, cordon and search operations also continued in different areas of Poonch and Rajouri districts.
Seven students of an agricultural university have been arrested in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir under the black law Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) for raising slogans and celebrating the Indian cricket team’s loss in the World Cup final.
The arrested youth are studying at the University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST)–Kashmir.
The students were arrested on a complaint by a non-Kashmiri student to Indian police who claimed that Kashmiri student showed pleasure in favour of Australia’s win after India lost the final match and the cup to Australia.—KMS
