Annual general body meeting of National Horticulture Society, Islamabad, was held yesterday which was attended by 63 members of the society. The Chairman welcomed the old and new members of the society.
After the recitation from the Holy Quran, Secretary of the society presented his annual report as per agenda and the finance secretary presented the Budget report for the year 2022-23. Later the meeting approved the budget report. After the approval of reports, Election Commission conducted the election for the year 2023-25. The election was conducted through show of hands. The house unanimously elected Mr. Iftikhar Ahmed Awan, Chairman; Major ® Ikram ul Haq, Senior Vice Chairman; Ms Hamida Tahira, Lady Vice Chairperson; Muhammad Shahid, Vice Chairman; M. Tahir Nadeem , Secretary; Ch Ghulam Rasul, Finance Secretary; Dr Riaz Bukhari, Technical Secretary and Captain Akhtar Hussain, Joint Secretary for two years term 2023 -2025.Speaking on the occasion, Iftikhar Ahmed Awan said that elected Executive Council would make best possible efforts to promote the horticultural activities in line of the objectives of the society.
