Ideal arrangements ensured for peaceful Muharram

Commissioner Rawalpindi, Engineer Aamir Khattak, has assured that comprehensive arrangements are underway to foster a peaceful environment during the upcoming month of Muharram. He expressed these sentiments while presiding over meetings of the District Peace Committee and Inter-Religious Harmony Committees in Attock.

Highlighting the crucial role of scholars in maintaining peace and order, Commissioner Aamir Khattak emphasized the importance of their suggestions. He underscored that strict adherence to the government’s code of conduct for religious gatherings is imperative to ensure public safety and harmony.

“All religious gatherings will be closely monitored to ensure compliance with security protocols,” Commissioner Rawalpindi stated, reaffirming the commitment to provide foolproof security and essential municipal services throughout Muharram.

During the meetings, members of the District Peace Committee shared valuable insights, contributing to discussions on various pertinent issues. Commissioner Aamir Khattak also chaired sessions with the District Intelligence Committee and district administration officers, focusing on matters ranging from revenue and development schemes to flood management.

Regarding development initiatives, it was disclosed that a substantial sum of 32,514 million rupees has been allocated for 103 schemes across the district. These initiatives encompass health, education, infrastructure enhancements, and other vital sectors.

Furthermore, Commissioner Rawalpindi chaired a District Emergency Board meeting to review flood preparedness measures. District Emergency Officer Ali Hussain briefed the Commissioner and other officials on contingency plans and safety protocols. In conclusion, Commissioner Aamir Khattak commended the proactive efforts of the district administration and stressed the importance of completing all development projects with high standards.
