Gohar Ejaz gets additional charge as interim Interior Minister

Gohar Ejaz, the interim commerce and industry minister, has been given additional charge of interior ministry ahead of elections.

Pakistan’s caretaker Prime Minister approved the appointment of Mr Ejaz as caretaker interior minister.

A noted industrialist and former chairman of the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) will hold the post till the formation of upcoming elections.

Earlier, the interior minister was vacant after Sarfaraz Bugti stepped down from the caretaker cabinet to contest the general elections.

A recipient of Sitara-e-Imtiaz Ejaz is a pioneer in Pakistani business industry. The son of late Senator Sheikh Ejaz Ahmed stands as the finest entrepreneur, dedicated philanthropist, and stalwart in the country’s industrial landscape.
