Sindh Minister for Local Government, Housing, Town Planning, and Public Health Engineering, Saeed Ghani, has declared that the 2024-25 annual development schemes will prioritize projects that maximize public benefits. During a meeting on Saturday, Ghani emphasized the importance of completing ongoing mega projects on schedule and including new initiatives that accelerate urban and rural development. He specifically highlighted the necessity of ensuring clean and safe water supply through the Public Health Engineering and Rural Development departments.

Ghani chaired separate meetings for the Local Government and Public Health Engineering departments, with senior officials including Additional Chief Secretary Local Government Syed Khalid Haider Shah and other key figures in attendance.

They reviewed the progress of current projects and discussed proposals for the upcoming fiscal year’s budget. Ghani instructed that all ongoing projects be completed within their designated timelines and urged the acceleration of any delayed schemes to ensure their completion by the end of the next fiscal year. He stressed that there will be no compromise on the quality of these projects, assuring personal inspections to maintain high standards.
