The Federal Ombudsperson for Protection Against Harassment at Workplace (FOSPAH), in collaboration with the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA), hosted an Art Exhibition on “Workplace Harassment: Its Forms and Impact” on December 10, said a press release issued here on Wednesday.
The event, held at the PNCA in Islamabad, showcased the creative talents of students from across Pakistan who used art to shed light on workplace harassment, its many forms, and its profound impact on individuals and society.
As part of the 16 Days of Activism Campaign Against Gender-Based Violence, FOSPAH organized an art competition for bachelor’s, master’s, and college-level students across Pakistan. The exhibition featured an inspiring collection of artworks that captured the challenges and resilience associated with harassment in workplaces. The event honored the winners of FOSPAH’s nationwide art competition, with prizes awarded to exceptional young artists whose works stood out for their creativity, emotional depth, and advocacy for change.
The exhibition was graced by esteemed guests, including Fauzia Viqar, Hon’ble Ombudsperson, FOSPAH, Ayub Jamali, Director General, PNCA, and Hassan Nasir Jamy, Secretary, National Heritage and Culture Division.
In his address, Hassan Nasir Jamy said, “This exhibition is a testament to the power of art in creating awareness and inspiring change. The creativity and courage displayed by these young artists remind us all of the responsibility we bear to address workplace harassment and ensure dignity for everyone.”
Ayub Jamali, Director General of PNCA, also lauded the initiative, stating, “PNCA is proud to collaborate with FOSPAH on this impactful event. Art transcends boundaries and communicates in ways words cannot.”
The event attracted a diverse audience, including students, artists, educators, and members of civil society, who came together to engage with the powerful narratives portrayed in the artworks.
