Father, daughters found dead

In a tragic incident, toxic food is believed to have claimed the lives of three persons including the father and his two minor daughters in Kharian.

According to the rescue sources, a father and two daughters were found dead while one other daughter was found in critical condition in a house located in Pyara locality in Galiana Police station jurisdiction in Kharian Tehsil. She was shifted to a hospital nearby where her condition was improving, the sources said.

The dead bodies were shifted to the hospital also. The deceased were identified as Malik Nasir, Ayesha 15, and Adiya Bib 11. Police, rescues agencies, and the Punjab Forensic Science Agency team reached the spot and started investigating. The sources feared that they were died due to intaking poisonous food.

DPO Gujarat Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah said that police are investigating various aspects of the incident. “The real cause of the incident will be brought out soon,” he added.—NNI
