Envoy of OIC SG for Afghanistan meets Indonesian FM

On the sidelines of his participation in the International Conference on Afghan Woman’s Education, held in the island of Bali, Indonesia today, Thursday. Ambassador Tariq Ali Bakheet, the envoy of the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for Afghanistan, met with H.E. the Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Retno Lestari Priansari Marsudi.

During the course of their discussions, Ambassador Tariq briefed the Foreign Minister on the latest developments regarding the organization’s work in Afghanistan. He praised Indonesia’s initiative to hold conference on education in Afghanistan as part of its appreciated efforts to support the Afghan people.

For her part, the Minister reaffirmed Indonesia’s commitment to support all efforts undertaken by the OIC in Afghanistan.—PR
