Elaborate security measures ordered in Islamabad, outlaws arrested in various operations

Following terrorist attack on Pakistan Stock Exchange building in Karachi, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan on Monday ordered all formations and departments of the police to tighten security in the Federal Capital.
Security of life and properties in Islamabad that is struggling to life and normalcy after the gradual opening of its various sectors and residential areas is our first and foremost priority, said an official of the police while talking to Pakistan Observer.
Following these orders, DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Dina Syed has directed all zonal SPs for red-alert security in their respective areas, enhance patrolling and remain vigilant in their areas.
DIG Operations also directed for strict checking at all entry and exit points of the city.
SP Saddar Zone Muhammad Sarfraz Virk held a meeting with SDPOs/SHOs of Saddar Zone. SP Saddar directed all officers to beef up security of all important public and government places, VIPs and religious places.
He directed all SDPOs and SHOs to personally visit such places and deliver security advisories. He directed for crackdown against drug sellers and dispose of all under investigation cases of previous years except cases of policy matters before June 30, 2020.
SP Saddar also directed to initiate action against car and bike lifters in collaboration with ACLC and also ensure arrest of proclaimed offenders and court absconders. He said that all officers should review crime hotspots and revisit patrolling plan and a comprehensive report shall be furnished to office of SP Saddar Zone after compliance.
Meanwhile, the Islamabad Police on Monday arrested 26 outlaws including eleven proclaimed offenders from various areas of the city and recovered stolen gold ornaments, cache of narcotics, wine, valuables and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said.
All officials of Islamabad police have accelerated their efforts to curb activities of anti-social elements and drug pushers. Bhara Khau police arrested two bootleggers namely Fazal Mehmood and Waqas Masih and recovered 250 liter alcohol from their possession. Golra police team arrested a house maid Sobia and recovered stolen gold ornaments.
Tarnol police arrested 03 drug pushers namely Waqar, Adnan Khan and Khuram Shahzad and recovered 1.340 kilogram hashish and one 30 bore pistol along with ammounation from their possession. Industrial Area police arrested two accused Abad-Ullah and Shahzad Ali and recovered 34 wine bottles and 10 liters alcohol from their possession. Noon police arrested accused Arashad and recovered 15 liter wine from him. Shams colony police apprehended Sulman Khan and 1.060 kilogram hashish from him. Khanna police arrested accused Ali Haider and recovered stolen valuable from him.
