In a statement, he said the decision will be made after consultation and understanding with the Ulema.
The minister further added that prominent Ulema of all sects and politico-religious leadership will be taken into confidence during a meeting that will be chaired by President Dr. Arif Alvi on Saturday.
Earlier, Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, Mufti Taqi Usmani, Allama Rashid Soomro, Maulana Anas Noorani and other Ulema of various schools of thought said lockdown will no longer apply to mosques because PM Imran Khan has advised to consider ground realities while following lockdown.
Mufti Muneeb said that all prayers including daily prayers, Friday prayers and Taraaweeh will be offered in congregation. However, he urged elderly and sick people to avoid coming to mosques.
Mufti Taqi Usmani said that the entire nation should unite to play its role and announced that mosques will remain open with precautionary measures.
Carpets should be removed from mosques and sanitizers should be placed on entrance of mosques, he demanded.
