Sindh Minister Livestock and Fisheries Engr. Abdul Bari Pitafi has said that under the vision and guidance of the CM Sindh we are committed to support livestock and fisheries sectors. He said Livestock, Exhibition and Seminar (SLE-2020) will be held at Hyderabad on February 8 and 9, 2020. The minister said this on Tuesday while highlighting Sindh Livestock Expo 2020. He said that “the SLE 2020 is more focused, aims to target corporate sector, technological solutions, growers/farmers, investors, diplomatic missions, academia of Sindh, and other stakeholders of Sindh’s Liverstock-business sector.” Government of Sindh will promote Livestock sector not only for food security but also to improve value addition across the value chain. About ready projects for investment in the sector, he mentioned Modern Warehouses, Shrimp Farming along the coastal belt of Sindh and Cold Storage Facilities at Farm Level, etc. He welcomed the guests and said “I feel immensely honoured to take the pride to congratulate all officers and staff of Sindh Livestock and Fisheries Department, Government of Sindh, District Administration Hyderabad and Badar Expo solutions for organizing premiere edition of Livestock, Exhibition and Seminar 2020”. Meanwhile, Syed Sardar Ali Shah, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Antiquities Department, Mr. Aijaz Ahmed Mahesar, Secretary, Livestock & Fisheries Department, Mr. Abbas Baloch, Commissioner Hyderabad, Dr. Nazeer Hussain Kalhoro, DG Sindh Institute of Animal Health, Dr. Abdul Qadir Junejo, Director General Livestock, Zohair Naseer,M.D. Badar Expo Solutions also talked about the exhibition. In the context of livestock, 27% buffaloes, 26% cattle, 25% sheep, 30% camels and 40% poultry population in Pakistan is found in Sindh. The potential of Halal Meat Exports and the ever-rising gap between the demand and production of meat and milk makes Sindh a very lucrative investment destination, he added.
