ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly cold and dry weather for Islamabad and most parts of Pakistan during the next two days.
As per the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in Islamabad and most parts of the country on Monday evening/night, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Fog update for Pakistan
Dense fog/smog will likely prevail in Islamabad, plains of Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh.
Day temperatures will likely remain below normal due to the dense fog/smog.
Islamabad’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 02-04 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 01-03 C on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, a cold wave prevailed in Islamabad and most parts of Pakistan during the last 24 hours.
Leh remained the coldest place in the country where mercury dropped 12 C below freezing.
In Islamabad, the minimum temperature was recorded at 02 C.
Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 100 per cent.
Dense fog/smog prevailed in Islamabad, plains of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh which decreased temperatures during the day.
Dense fog/smog forced the closure of Motorways and disrupted traffic on the National Highway and other inter and intra-city roads.
