Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan Monday inaugurated “Sehat Plus Cards” in Tank. Addressing a large gathering at Town Hall, Mahmood Khan said that all citizens of the province would be given medical facilities up to one million under “Sehat Plus Card”.
On his ever first official visit to the district, the chief minister was accompanied by federal minister Ali Amin Gandapur, provincial health minister Taimoor Salim Jhagra, provincial advisor for information Zia ullah Bangush, Member National Assembly Shahid Khattak, MPA Aghaz Gandapur and MPA Naseerullah Wazir.
The chief minister was welcomed by Commissioner DIKhan region Yahya Akhwanzada, Deputy Commissioner Tank Kabir Afridi, District President PTI Irfan Kundi and RPO Yasin Farooq on his arrival at Town Hall. Mahood Khan said that the incumbent provincial government was spending a huge amount of 26 billion for the uplift of southern districts of the province and announced to connect Peshawar-DIKhan motorway with CPEC rout to bring economic prosperity to the deprived southern districts. The chief minister also kicked off “Tank beautification project” that would be completed with a total estimated cost of 700 million and is composed of multiple drinking water schemes and communication improvement initiatives in the district.
Mahood Khan announced to allot a new Tehsil for the district and renovate Tank-Paizo road. On this occasion he gave away commendation certificates to DPO Sajjad Ahmad Sahibzada, DSP Iqbal Baloch and SHO Naseeb ur Rehman in recognition of efforts made by police to safely recover the abducted boy.
Meanwhile Prime Minister Imran Khan Monday congratulated the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for making the province first in Pakistan with Universal Health Coverage for all domiciled citizens. Prime Minister Khan took to Twitter and said that 40 million residents of the KP province covered with free health insurance.
“Congratulations to KP govt for making KP first province in Pak with Universal Health Coverage for all KP-domiciled citizens. 40,000,000 residents covered with free health insurance. Free treatment upto Rs1,000,000 per family per year in over 400 govt/private hospitals across Pak.” Prime Minister Khan earlier said that the government was focused on providing the masses with health and education facilities.
Federal Minister for Communications and Postal Services Murad Saeed also retweeted PM Khan’s message and said now a KP citizen can get treated anywhere in Pakistan and termed it a reak change and real face of new Pakistan.
