THE mission and passion of China in new era announced by Chinese President and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Xi Jinping about promoting a global community of shared future of mankind has become a buzz in international arena. For the peaceful and sustainable development of a global system where all the countries of this planet may get the equal and fair treatment, we must have to accept that globalization and multi-polar world system with diversified political ideologies is the only way forward.

The dominating Chinese philosophy at the global level right now has been getting attention of international community which discusses that humanity carries a common and shared stake in development and global stability without the participation of developing countries in international system cannot be achieved. Following the reforms and opening up policies adopted in China and rapid modernization drive, China has embarked on a new distinctive path of peaceful rise that is bolstering bundle of opportunities of development for all across the globe.

The engagements, communications and interactions of China with developing countries at regional and international levels has enhanced the friend’s circle of China that has also given a voice to the marginalized countries to speak up for their rights of development. The stages of China’s developments have given fresh impetus to social development, contemporary culture, the country’s ecological and environmental health and China’s growing contribution to global governance.

The specific and enhanced engagements of China with international community especially with the developing countries under the flagship banner of “shared future of mankind” has become a sustainable and solid bridge for all to yield the results for the improvements of local sectors in various countries. It has become obvious that the success and development of China has attracted the attention of the world as the country has become the leader in meeting and fulfilling every single development agenda of UN.

With the focus on shared interests and greater goods, China has always been on the forefront for making the cake of prosperity bigger and this shows the Chinese belief on globalization and internationalization. The openness of development sharing from China side for developing countries has raised a hope that China’s development cooperation is a form of mutual assistance between developing countries.

The development pattern and model of China has also become a leading example for developing countries as China is also a developing country setting the trends of miraculous development. Beijing hopes that all the partner countries of China under various platforms of cooperation will advance faster to share the opportunities and benefits offered by open development.

The contributions of China for the well-being of humanity carrying a top priority with the enhanced foreign aid to international development cooperation has generated greater results for all and it shows that the country has expanded and diversified its global development cooperation over the past years. With the exclusivity of Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), Global Development Initiative and Global Security Initiative, China has emerged as one of the major South-South Cooperation advocate over the decade and the lessons are increasingly drawn for developing countries to follow principle of mutual benefit for win-win outcomes under the cooperation mechanism with Beijing.

If we just talk about BRI, the white paper released on “China’s International Development Cooperation in the New Era” discusses that BRI is a major platform. The Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road are significant public goods China offers to the whole world and a major platform for international development cooperation. China has joined hands with other developing countries to promote policy, infrastructure, trade, financial and people-to-people connectivity, to build the Belt and Road into a path towards peace, prosperity, opening up, innovation, green development, cultural exchanges, and clean government.

Right now, the China initiatives winning the hearts and mind globally based on mutual and meaningful consultations are proving to a bigger help for mankind to deal with the worst challenges like pollution, food security, job creation, poverty alleviation, infrastructural development, security, new energy development and others. The Chinese approach of shared future about defining issues and solving problems for paving the way forward in search of peaceful and prosperous development has given a birth to the thought that we must integrate all the countries in the journey of development as we all are the residents of same planets while the development does not carry any exclusive copy rights for any single country. This is a fast moving, globalized and interconnected world that needs to move forward rationally by joining hands by keeping in minds the development needs of all with the realities of the 21st century. The Chinese approaches to the development based on the country’s own experience of long history gives a message that the Chinese cooperation means to improve the well-being of humanity that is aimed for the transformation of generations.
