Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC) CEO Engineer Syed Salahuddin Ahmed initiated the installation of advanced time attendance machines based on biometric and facial recognition technology.

This step aims to ensure employee attendance and streamline record-keeping. Director of IT at KW&SC, Abdul Ghani Shaikh, elaborated that this initiative, mandated by the CEO, seeks to computerize employee data for efficient problem-solving. Currently, 70 percent of KW&SC’s 40 offices, comprising 210 divisions, have installed these digital attendance systems, with ongoing efforts to enroll all 9,350 regular employees. Additionally, plans include the installation of backup systems like UPS and solar energy units to maintain operation during power outages.

The digital attendance system aligns KWSC with other Sindh government departments, ensuring timely salary disbursements and enforcing disciplinary measures as per the Code of Conduct. These efforts, under Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC) CEO Engineer Syed Salahuddin Ahmed’s guidance, aim to enhance employee welfare and address their concerns promptly, yielding positive outcomes.
