KABUL – Two blasts hit the Afghan capital Kabul on Wednesday, leaving at least one dead and six, including three women, injured.
A car bomb blast that happened in Dasht-e Barchi killed a civilian and wounded six, interior ministry spokesman Qari Sayeed Khosty said in a tweet.
Another explosion was reported in the nearby Karte 3 area, local residents said. Security officials have reached the site.
Images showed on social media showed a car engulfed by flames as well as twisted wreckage.
No group has so far claimed the responsibility of the attack but Islamic State militants have claimed several attacks on Shi’ite Muslim community.
