Federal Minister for Planning Development & Special Initiative and Chairman of the National Command & Operation Centre (NCOC) Asad Umar on Thursday inaugurated the first vaccination facility set up by the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) at the Centaurus Shopping Mall.

After F-9 Park Mass Vaccination Centre this will be the second facility where people could get vaccinated in a comfortable environment as the shopping mall is always bustling with brands and new arrivals, moreover, comfortable seats were made available for them by the Centaurus Shopping Mall administration where the visitors or the shoppers and their families could sit, relax, shop, wait and get vaccinated on their turn.

After inaugurating the facility, Asad Umar mentioned the facility had two options, one inside the shopping mall and the other outside in front of the road so that those who don’t want to enter the shopping mall could get vaccinated from the facility set up outside the mall.

Commending the ICCI’s initiative, Asad Umar said, “Well done Islamabad chamber Insha Allah other chambers in Pakistan will also set up facilities for vaccination.”

Another “Camp Vaccination Centre” has been set up at the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) office.

Here too the staff of the government offices as well as the private educational institutions can get vaccinated.

According to the District Health Officer (DHO) Islamabad, Dr Zaeem Zia the two camp vaccination centres at Centaurus Shopping Mall and the ICT office are a big support and will help in maximum vaccination of the residents.

Asad Umar while lauding the DHO and his team for the wonderful efforts held Islamabad had become number one city in registration as well as vaccination against Covid-19.

In registration and vaccination according to the population, Islamabad is the best in both.

The credit for this goes to DHO Dr Zaeem. Asad Umar also praised Sardar Yasir, CEO of Centaurus for offering a camp vaccination centre.

From next week, we shall have meetings with charity organizations, rural support networks, and philanthropy organizations for offering the same facility at their premises, said Asad Umar.
