Arsenal have provided an update on Mikel Arteta’s wellbeing following his coronavirus diagnosis, with the club also reacting to the news that the Premier League postponement has been extended to at least April 30.
It was confirmed that the Gunners head coach had tested positive for Covid-19 on March 12, with the Spaniard being placed in self-isolation, along with staff members and the entire playing squad.
The Premier League would later react to the news by postponing matches until April 4 – a move that was then extended to April 30 – as football came to a standstill across the globe amid the coronavirus outbreak.—AFP
