ANF trying to make society drug free

The Federal Minister for Narcotics Control Muhammad Azam Khan Swati visited Model Addicts Treatment & Rehabilitation Centre (MATRC) of Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) in Islamabad.
The Federal Minister was briefed about the objectives, function and facilities for the patients in the Model Addicts Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre by the staff of the Centre. He was informed that ANF is trying to make drugs free society through advocacy, primary prevention and best practices in Treatment and Rehabilitation at MATRC.
It was said in the briefing that MARTC objectives are detoxification and rehabilitation facility to drug addicts, minimizing the risk of relapse and re-integration of the recovering addicts in the society.
MATRC is also giving and Rehabilitation and vocational training to the detoxified addicts and enabling the addicts to be self-reliance.
He visited different sections of the Centre and inquire about the treatment facilities for drugs addict patients. The Minister was also briefed about the various process of rehabilitation of drugs addict patients.
The Federal Minister Muhammad Azam Khan Swati also interacted with drug addict patients at the centre and asked about treatment and facilities given by the staff of the Centre.
He appreciated the staff of MARTC and advised that best possible service may be provided to the patients at centre.
