AJK primary level learning being upped: Secy Education

The secretary elementary and secondary education department state Government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir Razaq Ahmed Nadeem along with director public interaction Syed Talib Hussain Shah paid surprise inspection visits to the Government schools on Tuesday.

As per details, they visited Govt. primary school Bandi Fateh Jhang, Boys primary School Hotreri Bala, Girls primary school Bandi Chaleian, Government school khundoli, Boys Middle School Danna Ghan Chatter, Boys primary School Berian Galli, Boys high school Hotreri, girls high School Hotreri and conducted students’ academic evaluation.

The secretary education expressed anguish over the poor learning environment and lack of interest on part of teachers at Bandi Fateh Jhang as there were only one teacher was present who was teaching matric students privately. The secretary warned that truant teachers would face stern action.

At Hotreri Bala, the secretary education interacted with the local community representative and students of the school and enquired about the working of the school. He also inspected the school building and classrooms.

Local community demanded from Secretary to upgrade the school from primary to middle level. Secretary education vowed

that he would took the legitimate demands in the notice of higher authorities for improvement in the existing infrastructure and other necessary facilities being made available in the school.

Mean while during the visit to Government boys middle school Hotreri, and girl’s primary school, he expressed displeasure over the absence of 3 teachers and female students left the school before time respectively.

Elaborating more secretary said: “Government is spending a huge sum in development and non-development sector in the education sector, the trend of low level of results will not be tolerated anymore in the public institutes.”

Secretary Education said that every teacher and the responsible heads are liable in provision of services. “Promotion of quality education and provision of facilities to schools are top priorities of the government” adding that every hurdle from provision of education at far flung localities would be eradicated, he stated.

He urged the teaching staff to make the teaching-learning process more practical and motivating so that students take up their studies with utmost devotion.

DPI male Syed Talib Hussain Shah on the occasion said that teachers must work hard to attain maximum productive results giving more inputs in the studies to the pupils that would be beneficial for their future.

He added that he would make surprise visits to rest of schools in the coming days in adjoining areas of state’s capital and other districts.
