AFSPA in IIOJK emboldens custodial violence, torture: Owaisi

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) MP Asaduddin Owaisi has said that the draconian Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) in occupied Jammu and Kashmir is emboldening custodial violence and torture.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Asaduddin Owaisi in a post on X made the remarks in the context of the recent killing of three civilians by Indian troops in the Bafliaz area of Poonch district. He said the culprits need to be investigated and punished under civilian laws.—KMS
