Pakistan, India to compete in two separate tournaments on same day

The cricket fans are set to witness two high-profile Pakistan vs India clashes on the same day as both men’s and women’s teams face off on February 15.

Pakistan and India will compete in two separate tournaments on the same day. Alongside the highly anticipated Men’s T20 World Cup encounter, the two arch-rivals will also meet in the Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars tournament.

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has officially released the schedule for the Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars. The eight-team Women’s T20 tournament will be held from February 13 to 22 in Bangkok, Thailand.

The tournament aims to provide a platform for emerging teams across the continent and to introduce Asia’s future cricket stars.

Group A includes Pakistan, India, the United Arab Emirates, and Nepal, while Group B consists of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and hosts Thailand.

The Pakistan vs India women’s match is being described as the most prominent fixture of the group stage and is expected to significantly boost interest in the Rising Stars tournament.

Pakistan will begin their campaign on February 13 against Nepal, while their final group-stage match will be played against the UAE on February 17. India, on the other hand, will open their tournament against the UAE and then face Nepal in their second group match.

The group stage will continue until February 18, after which the top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals scheduled for February 20. The final of the tournament will be played on February 22.

The Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026 is being viewed as a crucial platform for the development of young players and the strengthening of women’s cricket across Asia, with several teams considering it a key stepping stone toward success at the senior level.
