All educational institutions in Peshawar will remain open on Tuesday, the deputy commissioner’s office announced, urging the public to ignore fake notifications and rumours about closures.
TransPeshawar has also announced the resumption of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) services from October 13, with buses operating on all routes as usual.
Meanwhile, the district administration has imposed Section 144 for seven days, banning public gatherings, the display of weapons and the possession of items that could be used for violence.
Educational institutions remained closed on Monday amid road blockades following the imposition of governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the federal government’s emergency in 12 districts.
