KARACHI – Gold and silver prices in Pakistan on Tuesday surged to another high of Rs493,662 and Rs9,869 per tola, respectively, amid prevailing geopolitical tensions.

According to Sarafa Association, the price of per tola gold moved up by Rs4,300 to touch the fresh high in Pakistan. The price of 10-gram surged by Rs3,686, bringing new rate to Rs423,235.

The precious commodity recorded an upward trend in international bullion market where per ounce price increased by $43 to reach $4,713.

Similarly, silver prices in Pakistan soared the all-time high as per tola rate saw an increase of Rs87 to climb to Rs9,869. The price of 10-gram has surged to Rs8,461 after an hike of Rs76.
