LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has officially launched the scheme to distribute free solar systems among 100,000 electricity consumers, who meet the prescribed criteria.
The CM Punjab Free Solar Panel Scheme is an initiative to provide free solar energy solutions to households across the province. It show the government’s commitment to promote renewable energy and support modest communities.
The free solar panels will be provided to poor households having consumption from 0-200 units through transparent balloting.
Eligibility Criteria
Domestic electricity consumers having monthly consumption of up to 200 units under following categories are eligible:
Up to – 50 Units (Life Line)
51-100 Units (Life Line)
0-100 Units (Protected)
0-100 Units (Un-protected)
101-200 Units (Protected)
101-200 Units (Unprotected)
Eligibility of domestic consumers will be based on bills for the month of June 2024. Consumer having sanction load up to 2 KW will be eligible for the scheme.
How to Apply for Punjab Free Solar Panel Scheme
Consumers can apply for the scheme via web portal or by sending a SMS. Those applying for the scheme online can visit this link (https://cmsolarscheme.punjab.gov.pk/) to complete registration.
You can register for the scheme by sending reference number of your electricity bill and CNIC number to 8800.
