LAHORE – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not accepted the resignation of former Test cricketer Mohammad Yousuf.

The sources said that Mohammad Yousuf had resigned from the position of batting coach a few days ago.

He will be given a new responsibility, with 2 or 3 options being offered, from which the former cricketer will need to choose one. Sources also mentioned that the PCB will contact Abdul Razzaq in the future and offer him a new role as well.

A few days ago, Mohammad Yousuf had announced his resignation from the position of selector of the national team.

In this regard, Mohammad Yousuf stated that he was resigning due to personal reasons, and that it had been an honor to serve the team and contribute to the promotion of cricket.

He expressed full confidence in the talent and passion of Pakistani players and extended his best wishes to the national team.

Mohammad Yousuf is considered one of Pakistan’s most successful batters, having scored 7,530 Test runs and 9,720 One-Day runs between 1998 and 2010. He holds the record for the most Test runs (1,788) in a calendar year (2006).
