WASHINGTON – Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and chairman of the social media platform X, has reportedly committed substantial financial support to former US President Donald Trump’s election campaign, according to international media sources.
Musk, known for his critiques of President Joe Biden, has opted to back Trump in his bid to reclaim the White House. The exact amount of Musk’s financial contribution has not yet been fully disclosed.
In March of this year, Musk and other donors reportedly met with Trump, demonstrating heightened interest and involvement in the politics of the Republican Party, particularly as Trump’s potential nomination as the party’s presidential candidate looms.
Musk, previously, had publicly expressed his reluctance to financially support either Trump or Biden during their presidential campaigns.
