Pakistani Tech Founders Hosted At Norways Parliament As Pakistan Tech Summit Returns To Oslo For 16th Edition

Ejad Labs’ annual Pakistani tech delegation to Oslo Innovation Week was hosted at the Storting, Norway’s Parliament, by Member of Parliament FarukhQureshi on Tuesday, 20 October. The next day, the 16th Pakistan Tech Summit drew more than 100 participants from Norway alone to Datteratil Hagen, seven years after the summit’s first edition in the same city.

The Storting meeting brought around 70 Pakistani founders and Norwegian business leaders into one room. Pakistan’s Ambassador to Norway, H.E. Asim Ali Khan, who had earlier welcomed the delegation at the Embassy of Pakistan, attended. The meeting was initiated by Kristin Anderssen, CEO of Make-A-Wish Norge and a supporter of the summit since its first edition in 2019, and organised with Fredrik Syversen of TEK Norge, Norway’s technology industry association. The host MP, whose father came to Norway from Pakistan as a worker in the 1970s, said that helping to build bridges between the two countries meant something extra to him.
