PESHAWAR – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted partly cloudy weather and light rain/drizzle for parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday and Tuesday.
As per the synoptic situation, a shallow westerly wave is approaching western parts of Pakistan. It will likely move upper parts during the next 24 hours.
Under these conditions, cold and partly cloudy weather is likely in most parts of the province on Sunday evening/night and the next two days. Freezing weather is expected in upper districts.
On Monday and Tuesday, rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in Abbottabad, Mansehra, Balakot and surrounding areas.
Peshawar’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 02-04 degrees Celsius on Monday and 03-05 C on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed over most of the province during the last 24 hours.
Kalam remained the coldest place in the province where the temperature dropped 08 C below freezing.
In Peshawar, minimum temperature was recorded at 03 C. Relative humidity during the morning was 84 per cent.
