British aging monarch King Charles III, who was crowned in extravaganza ceremonial event, has been diagnosed with cancer, and he halted all public engagements to undergo treatment.

The shocking diagnosis was confirmed in an announcement made by Buckingham Palace as the development cast a shadow over the reign that started some time back.

Buckingham Palace made the announcement days after King Charles was discharged from a UK medical facility, as he received medical attention to treat an enlarged prostate.

People in the UK and parts of the world are sending prayers to British families but the Buckingham Palace did not unveil specifics about the type or stage of cancer, but BBC and other media reported that it was not prostate cancer.

The statement shared by British family said “During the king’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a different issue of concern was noted”.

King Charles dissent son Prince Harry to visit his ailing father soon

As the news made headlines across the globe, King Charles younger son, Prince Harry, said he had been in touch with his father and is looking to travel to the UK in the coming days to visit him.

Harry is currently in US, as he interacted with his father and will be travelling to London to see him in the coming days.

King will continue with his constitutional role as head of state, including paperwork and private meetings.

Amid the treatment, Charles’ second son Prince William also withdrawn from public engagements.

Prayers

Several leaders including British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer and Commons Speaker Sir Lyndsay Hoyle extended wishes to ailing King a full and speedy recovery.
