Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has distinguished his party from others by saying that the PPP completely believes in “vote power” unlike other parties who bank on khalai makhlooq (aliens).

Addressing a public gathering in Kot Addu on Saturday, Bilawal vowed that the PPP would be a “sigh of relief” for the common man and a “pain” for elites if voted to power.
He claimed that his party only believes in vote power, unlike all other parties who pin hopes on khalai makhlooq.

He continued that all parties except the PPP represent elites which provide relief to wealthy personalities and give pain to the poor people. He also promised that the PPP would prove itself a pro-poor party by returning public support by providing relief to the common people after coming into power. The PPP chief reiterated that the upcoming election contest is between only two political parties — PPP and PML-N.

He also criticised the Nawaz-led party, saying: “I was thinking that all public issues would be resolved after spending a huge portion of development funds in Lahore. [The reality is otherwise, as] the constituency from where I am contesting polls in Lahore does not even have clean drinking water.”

Reiterating his party’s manifesto, he announced that the People’s Party would bring the country out of all political, economic and security crises. “Through implementing our 10-point economic agenda, Pakistan can get rid of poverty, unemployment and inflation.”

Bilawal said that there is no reason as to why the PPP cannot help the country emerge from this plethora of crises. The PPP’s 10-point economic charter has the solutions to the problems faced by the people.

Bilawal said that it was his promise to the people that he willstrive to double their income within five years and construct three million houses for the poor while giving ownership to the women of the households. These are not tall claims or empty promises, since the PPP has already initiated this in Sindh.

Benazir Income Support Programme will be expanded so that the women of this country are provided interest-free loans and can make their contribution to the economy.
Bilawal said that the farmers of the Waseb should be apprised of the PPP’s aim to provide a ‘Benazir Kissan Card’ through which they would be financially supported by the government through subsidies directly. In the case of any catastrophe, the crops of the farmers would be insured through the ‘Benazir Kissan Card’ and the government will
bear the burden, but not let it fall on the shoulders of the poor.

The PPP has made free-of-cost healthcare institutions in every district of Sindh. In Karachi, the Party has established NICVD, the largest cardiac healthcare institution in the world which treats the highest numbers of patients free-of-cost. In Khairpur, a completely free-of-cost healthcare institution has been established in the tehsil of Gambat, where ailments of the kidney, liver, lungs and the heart are treated.
