All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) leaders in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir have said that observing August 5 as Black Day will once again send a clear message to India that Kashmiris reject its illegal actions of August 2019 and will never accept its illegal occupation.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC leaders Syed Bashir Andrabi, Khawaja Firdous and Junaidul Islam in a joint statement issued in Srinagar said Kashmiris will continue the great mission of their martyrs till taking it to its logical conclusion.

They also condemned the continued illegal de-tention of Hurriyat leaders and the killing of inno-cent Kashmiri youth and said that India could not weaken the freedom spirit of the Kashmiris through its military might.

The Hurriyat leaders urged the international community to take notice of the Indian atrocities in the occupied Jammu and Kashmir and put pressure on New Delhi to resolve the Kashmir dispute according to the United Nations resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

Meanwhile, APHC leader Farida Behanji, in a statement in Srinagar termed August 5 as the dark-est day in the history of Kashmir and said India has committed unilateral and illegal actions against Kashmiris in 2019.

She said Kashmiri people will observe the Black Day on August 5 and once again will send a clear message to the fascist Modi government that they do not accept Indian domination. The Modi regime has turned Jammu and Kashmir into a big prison and the Indian forces are committing serious human rights violations in the territory, she added.

APHC leaders Hakeem Abdul Rashid. Advocate Muzamil Aslam, Shabbir Ahmad and Hafiz Rafiq Ahmed in a statement in Srinagar said on August 5, 2019, India repealed Kashmir’s special status and imposed military siege in the territory which was also violation of the International law.

All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter leader Shaikh Yaqoob in his statement in Islamabad denounced the unilateral and colonial measures of the Modi regime in IIOJK. He said bifurcating the territory and scrapping the permanent resident law to engi-neer demographic change is not only a blatant violation of the UN resolutions but also a mockery of the UN charter that guaranteed freedom, equality and right to self-determination to all peoples of the global fraternity.

APHC-AJK leader Zahid Ashraf in a statement in Islamabad appealed to the freedom-loving, valiant Kashmiris on both sides of the LOC and all across the globe to observe August 5 as “Youm-e-Istehsaal” for the colonial Hindutva legislations of repealing IIOJK’s special status.

APHC-AJK leader Manzoor Ahmed Dar in a statement in Islamabad said India’s illegal and unilateral actions will not affect the disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir. He said the government on August 5, 2019 repealed the special status of occupied Jammu and Kashmir in serious violation of the UN resolutions but the Kashmiri people will thwart all nefarious intentions of the Modi regime.—KMS
